Vasanthie Pillai and Associates is a full service law firm (Attorneys, Conveyancers and Notary Public) which has a solid history of experience, having been in existence for over 25 years. Our staff is passionate about keeping abreast with legal developments, being service oriented and going to great lengths to serve and protect our clients’ interests. We leave no stone unturned in achieving our goals.

We pride ourselves in being one of the very few law firms in Amanzimtoti which offer a full range of legal services.

We understand that having to deal with legal issues can be daunting for clients. It is for this reason that we connect with our clients, in a genuine caring manner, with patience, listening to their needs and concerns. Our regular progress reports and explaining in simple and clear terms the legal processes, has led to our clients placing their trust in our ability and forming long term relationships with us.

A hallmark of our practice is that we think holistically and often propose solutions that clients may not have even considered.

Our client base ranges from individuals, SMMEs to large corporate enterprises but each one of them can vouch that we make them feel like their matter is the most important one that we are dealing with because we do indeed recognise the importance of it to them.

Although most of our clients are from the Athlone Park, Amanzimtoti, Doonside, Warner Beach, Winklespruit, Isipingo and Umlazi areas, with technology at our disposal, we also serve clients from other areas, provinces and overseas.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted to not only offering in person consultations at our offices but also remote consultations via internet based meeting platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams and even WhatsApp.

Testimonials

I contacted a number of law firms for assistance regarding our options in terms of an ante nuptial contract as my husband and I had already done a cultural ceremony but still intended to enter a civil marriage. What drew me to Vasanthie Pillai Law was how forthcoming Vasanthie was with information, long before we spoke fees. I was just a name behind an email with no promise to engage her services officially, but she took her time to thoroughly explain legally where we were, and the options available to us to proceed. I suppose this was very telling of the lecturer in her, not “stingy” with information:) It was that care that made her firm an obvious choice for us. And when we did eventually discuss fees, they were very reasonable in comparison. She was able to answer all our questions during the consultation, no problem.

I would definitely recommend her and her firm (and have in fact) for your legal needs.

Celuzuze Ndlovu

During the course of 2019 I was referred to Ms Vasanthie Pillai of Vasanthie Pillai and Associates, to take over both civil and criminal matters, as the Attorney that I always engaged with took ill.

Ms Pillai had to take over the civil and criminal cases with very short notice, and this was during Covid 19 Lockdown, which was a great concern to me as there was a lot at stake in both the civil and criminal cases.

The transition to a new Attorney and firm of Attorneys was very smooth as Ms Pillai took charge of both the criminal and civil matters with the greatest of speed and not one ounce of frustration in having to re- explain all the material in the files.  From the day Ms Pillai took over the cases I had complete peace of mind that Ms Pillai total control and understanding of the cases.

Ms Pillai and her staff kept me updated at all times on both cases and both resulted in being successfully finalised by Ms Pillai.

I have never had such great service and results from any firm of attorneys till now and I have not even met her in person.  She is truly are an amazing person and a brilliant Attorney and a true asset to the legal profession.
